A fraud warning recently has been released by the FBI that reverse mortgages are being utilized to aim scams that involving seniors. This is the most sad story that all the news papers are covering now. In this case the senior persons are being taken advantage by the loan officers when actually in most of the cases turn out to be the borrower was negotiated into putting the funds into an investment. In this type of cases the borrowers never lose their money, they just confine their access.
The warning that has been issued by the FBI, clearly points out that the real problem is the builders, realtors and other senior citizens who are buying home without any down payment. It’s nothing but they are simply flipping their property. So they are doing scam. It’s very sad that the senior citizens are involved in this cases and in some cases they are being turned out to FBI.
The seniors are becoming a part of this incident as they are getting the confirmation from scammers that at the end they will get a home for free. even those scammer are coming up with ads and also during many seminars they are clearly premising that people will end up with a house at free of cost.
The sad part is that there are many honest senior citizens who might be affected for this. The reverse mortgage is continuously helping many aged persons who really need this help. It’s ensuring a comfortable life to them. But just for few dishonest people the majority might lose a huge advantage that they are enjoying now.
